About Road Captains
Road Captains are the backbone of every Rock River H.O.G. group ride. They plan the routes, lead the formation, and make sure every rider has a safe and enjoyable experience from start to finish.
A Road Captain's responsibilities include:
✓ Scouting and planning safe, enjoyable routes
✓ Conducting pre-ride safety briefings
✓ Setting and maintaining a safe group riding pace
✓ Coordinating the group formation (lead, sweep, and road guards)
✓ Handling unexpected situations on the road
✓ Ensuring no rider is left behind
